Purchase a Costco Membership Activation Certificate by December 31, 2021 to join as a new member and receive a Costco Shop Card!
New Gold Star members will receive a free $10 Costco Shop Card, while new Gold Star Executive Members receive a free $20 Costco Shop Card.
(If you're not familiar with the difference, the Gold Star Executive program offers 2% cash back annually, plus additional select discounts. It's definitely worth the upgrade if you think you'll spend more than $3000 at Costco over the course of the year.)
In order to receive your free Costco Shop Cards, you must go here to buy your activation certificate, which will then be sent to you via email. Then you'll need to print the certificate and bring it to your local Costco's membership desk to get your cards!
Once all that is done, you'll receive your free gift cards via mail in four to six weeks.
Note that activation certificates can't be purchased to renew an existing or a membership that has expired within the last 18 months. This truly is for new members only.
