DoorDash Now Delivering For Walgreens!

Walgreens announced this week a new delivery partnership with DoorDash!

Today, customers in the Chicago, Atlanta and Denver areas can order on-demand delivery from Walgreens through the DoorDash app and website, choosing from an assortment of more than 2,300 convenience, health and wellness items. Select OTC meds and household items are included.

By the end of summer 2020, Walgreens and DoorDash plan to offer more than 5,000 items for delivery on the DoorDash platform, and will expand the service to other major markets starting with Cincinnati, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Sacramento and Seattle. Fingers crossed Texas cities will be added in the near future as well!

There's no word whether the weekly sales available in store and online at the Walgreens website will also be available through the DoorDash app. I am inclined to think they won't be, but I am willing to be pleasantly surprised.

Still, this provides another useful delivery option for folks looking to minimize in-person shopping right now. And if you have DashPass, Walgreens orders will be delivered for free when you spend $12 or more -- which is definitely a nice perk.

If you're already a DoorDash user, will you try ordering from Walgreens through the app once it rolls out in your town? Or is Walgreens more of an in-store destination for you? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
